In any given situation you are given choices. Often times when it comes to food we lose the sense of responsibility because our culture tells us to, “Go ahead, indulge! You deserve it!”. Every chocolate ad out there has this message. But the best choices coaching approach is to practice evaluation and make educated decisions for your health.
Your Evaluation
The ability to make best choices is also the practice to evaluate what is important to you. Your personal evaluation process should provide you questions like: What is most important to me right now? What has the least amount of sugar? What choice will give me a sense of pride? These questions are a start of the evaluation process we go through when presented with a choice.
Your Best Thinking
As we coach you through your Metabolic Balance® plan, we focus a lot on making a lifestyle shift. How the word diet is mostly used in our culture is considered restrictive, starving, shakes, pills, and basically having an on and off switch to it. With your personalized nutrition plan, you are given choices within your plan you can comfortably make. The reality is that you aren’t always going to be home, in the kitchen, surrounded by your “best food choices”. So we focus on your thinking and the education to be able to make your best choices through your best thinking. When educated and given the opportunity to practice, you learn about being able apply your knowledge to do your best thinking and make the choices you want for yourself.
Your Best Choice
Through personal development and practice with the feedback your body gives you as you make either your best choice, or just a choice, your inner signals guide your next choice. Like a conversation, your body is talking with you constantly about the choices you make about the foods you choose to eat. Your best choices are those that give you energy, health and vitality. Too many of the wrong choices, your body will tell you that too. You will gain weight again, your skin might dull and be exhausted once again!
